The Words of King Lemuel

31 The words of King Lemuel. An oracle that his mother taught him:

⁵ I am reminded of ^(A)your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and ^(B)your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.

¹⁵ and how ^(A)from childhood you have been acquainted with ^(B)the sacred writings, ^(C)which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

²⁶ But the ^(A)Helper, the Holy Spirit, ^(B)whom the Father will send in my name, ^(C)he will teach you all things and ^(D)bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

The Wedding at Cana

2 On ^(A)the third day there was a wedding at ^(B)Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. ² Jesus also was invited to the wedding with ^(C)his disciples. ³ When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” ⁴ And Jesus said to her, ^(D)“Woman, ^(E)what does this have to do with me? ^(F)My hour has not yet come.” ⁵ His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

⁷ Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for ^(A)if I do not go away, ^(B)the Helper will not come to you. But ^(C)if ^(D)I go, ^(E)I will send him to you. ^8 (F)And when he comes, he will ^(G)convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: ⁹ concerning sin, ^(H)because they do not believe in me; ^10 (I)concerning righteousness, ^(J)because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer;
